ESBB Webinars
ESBB Student Webinar
The ESBB Student Webinar focuses on Biobank Master Students but is open for all, students, young biobankers and/or advanced biobankers, independent of their career level. The aim is that Master Students in their final year take different roles in this webinar series in order to gain experiences while presenting a talk or chairing a session, being supervised by senior biobank professionals.
ESBB Educational Webinar
The ESBB Educational Webinar series focuses on basic knowledge elements for modern biobanking. Therefore, this series addresses specifically biobank beginners and/or biobankers at their early-stage career. It is possible to register for a specific topic only; however, an ESBB Educational Webinar Certificate will be provided only to those who attend at least 9 of 10 webinars.
ESBB Innovation Technologies
The ESBB Innovative Technologies Webinar series showcases newest innovations that e.g., facilitate increased sample/data quality, allow a higher degree of automation and/or enable novel research applications. Thus, this series targets all biobankers and stakeholders’ interest in exploring future applications and concepts for further developments in biobanking and biopreservation.
ESBB Members' Webinar
The ESBB Members’ Webinar series are frequently organized throughout the year as a half-day to full-day exchange platform. During these webinars, state-of-the-art lectures on hot topics and ESBB working group results will be presented, and ESBB business reported. These webinars are open only to ESBB members in good standing on free registration.
ESBB Best Practice Webinar
The ESBB Best Practice Webinar series are organized throughout the year on focused topics. During these webinars, state-of-the-art lectures on key topics or real-world best practice are presented. These webinars are currently open to the entire ESBB community on free registration.
ESBB Courses
ESBB Summer School
The ESBB Summer School consists of a one-week face-to-face course comprising a comprehensive overview on basic biobanking skills and tools. Successful attendees will obtain an ESBB Summer School certificate. Target audience are young biobankers early in their career that want to reinforce their biobank skills and competences. The ESBB Summer schools are envisioned to rotate through different locations. Discounts for ESBB members apply.
ESBB Project Management Course
The ESBB Project Management Course starts with basic project management tools and continues to more advanced project management concepts, e.g., including change management. This course can be booked in connection with the QM-Certification and/or Accreditation courses. Discounts for ESBB members apply.

Exchange Programs
ESBB Mentoring
Our ESBB Mentoring Program enables personal growth and helps to promote individual careers through an open bilateral exchange of knowledge and experience between mentee and mentor. Take advantage of the experiences of expert biobankers, seek their strategic advice and/or profit through their professional networks. Particularly for students and young biobankers in their early career. First comes first serve: register to become a mentee in the group of your favorite mentor.
ESBB Student/Scientist Exchange
The ESBB Student/Scientist Exchange Program promotes knowledge exchange at both an interdisciplinary and intercultural level. The program allows short- or long-term visits to state-of-the-art biobank and research facilities of renowned ESBB members within the EMEA region, to learn from the champions on-site. Determine your own exchange route throughout ESBB member sites or plan a prolonged project-related stay. Simply register by uploading your CV and LoI to allow perfect matchmaking.
